Rachel Weisz Brings a Date to Jeremy Renner's Big Bourne Premiere
Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, and their The Bourne Legacy costars hit NYC's Ziegfeld Theatre for the world premiere last night. Dior-clad Rachel Weisz walked the red carpet alone, but was later joined by her husband, Daniel Craig. Daniel, who was recently seen starring alongside Queen Elizabeth in the Olympics opening ceremony, linked up with Rachel following the screening. Daniel is also gearing up for his big 2012 blockbuster - check him out in the new trailer for Skyfall, the latest James Bond film.
The carpet was buzzing with talk of Jeremy's athleticism as Aaron Cross in the fourth installment of the Bourne franchise. Writer and director Tony Gilroy was in attendance, commending Jeremy's performance to the press. Jeremy's famously taken over the Bourne films from Matt Damon, though apparently, Matt could come back someday. Producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley hinted at the idea that Jeremy and Matt Damon could share the screen in a future Bourne production.

It's only a matter of hours until <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> makes her post-<a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/01/09/jay-z-dedicates-bic-song-to-baby-blue-ivy-carter">Blue Ivy Carter</a> performance comeback with her string of <a href="/news/articles/1681308/beyonce-memorial-day-atlantic-city-shows.jhtml">Memorial Day weekend shows</a> at Atlantic City's recently launched Revel entertainment center. And with anticipation high, the pop titan is giving her fans a small taste of the behind-the-scenes action it took to transition back to her stage show ways.</P><P>In the first of a two-part video montage segment that was posted on the singer's <a href="http://www.beyonce.com/news/the-making-of-a-concert-part-1" target="_blank">website</a>, Queen B is seen working hard almost two months prior to the gigs on everything from choreography to show concept and vocal rehearsing.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Beyoncé - "Love on Top"" id="vid:702484" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Despite admitting a few nerves and her inclusion in the pop-star-turned-mom club, Beyoncé remained adamant about her return to the stage, "I'm enjoying being a mother, so it's like going back to my old job. It's a little strange, but it's important that you don't lose yourself and have your own passions. I'm back to work. I'm back to business."</P><P>It's the first of many candid moments in which the singer opens up and allows camera lenses to document the planning of the concerts. And by the looks of it, the chart-topper will be giving it her all. At one point, Beyoncé is seen sitting on the floor with her crew of dancers conceptualizing the event. "What I'm trying to say with the show ... yes, I had a baby, but it just made me more grounded," she says.</P><P>In comparison to her intimate <a href="/news/articles/1669179/beyonce-roseland-ballroom-concert-new-york.jhtml">four-night affair</a> at New York's Roseland Ballroom in August 2011, the Revel shows are expected to be much more of a grand spectacle, with high-tech LED, intense choreography and video backdrops.</P><P>Positivity goes a long way, as her choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. co-signs the singer's intent to create a stellar event. "I think this show has the potential to be one of the greatest shows we've done. On Thursday (July 26), director <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/130926/personmain.jhtml">Robert Rodriguez</a> revealed that Lady Gaga will make her acting debut in his much-anticipated flick <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/501437/moviemain.jhtml">"Machete Kills,"</a> taking on the role of Lady Chameleon.</P><P>"I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills," <a href="https://twitter.com/Rodriguez/status/228589177187467264" target="_blank">Rodriguez tweeted</a>. "She kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!"</P><P>Shortly after, Gaga confirmed the news to her 27 million-plus Twitter fans: "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ," <a href="https://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/228599989918633986" target="_blank">Gaga tweeted</a>. "IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Rachel Bilson, AnnaLynne McCord, and Lucy Liu were among the actresses who stepped out for last night's CW, CBS, and Showtime 2012 Summer TCA Party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The ladies were out to support their TV shows Hart of Dixie, 90210, and CBS's new Sherlock-based Elementary , respectively. Justin Bieber Paparazzo Charged In Car Chase
Photographer faces one year in county jail and fines up to $3,500.

<P>Nothing will stop the paparazzi from getting their shot, and it looks like they're paying for it — at least for Paul Raef, the photographer who dangerously <a href="/news/articles/1689184/justin-bieber-paparazzi-car-chase.jhtml">chased Justin Bieber</a> down Los Angeles' 101 Freeway last month.</P><P>The Los Angeles City Attorney Office confirmed it will be filing four criminal charges against the 30-year-old photog. The highway pursuer potentially faces one year in county jail and fines up to $3,500. City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan tells <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/333076/justin-bieber-paparazzo-charged-for-dangerous-chaotic-high-speed-chase" target="_blank">E! News</a> the freelance pap faces four misdemeanor charges, including following another vehicle too closely, reckless driving with the intent to capture pictures for commercial gain, reckless driving and failing to obey the lawful order of a peace officer.</P><P>It's a less-than-surprising outcome for the high-speed chase, which landed the pop star a speeding ticket. According to Mateljan, the speedy paparazzo was driving his Toyota Rav4 at least 80 miles per hour as he attempted to chase down the 18-year-old's chrome Fisker Karma. Among one of the nearby drivers that had to stay clear of the chase was Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine. Describing the chase as "a very dangerous, chaotic situation," Zine says he was driving 60 to 65 miles per hour before Bieber passed him "in a careless, reckless fashion" and was eventually pulled over.</P><P>Raef made use of Bieber's stop by speeding away from the scene but wasn't willing to give up so easily on the potential photo and continued to follow the singer only a short 30 minutes later, before Bieber made a call to 911 for help. Police found the photographer afterward when his license-plate number was spotted in a parking garage in downtown L.A. Days after the incident, <a href="/news/articles/1689221/justin-bieber-harassment-paparazzi.jhtml">Bieber filed a harassment complaint</a> against Raef, alleging the pursuer was acting "extremely aggressive" on the road.</p>

"I feel like it brings a whole new energy to the show, definitely," Spears said. Spears showed off a sassy, critical side, but she admits that she understands what the contestants are going through.</P><P>"I would be extremely nervous, probably, if I'd really never done anything before and it was my first time to perform in front of 4,000 people," she said. "I'm sure it's pretty nerve-racking."</p>

Britney Spears, Demi Lovato Walk Off During 'X Factor' Audition
Sources say judges 'didn't want to waste their time' with lousy contestant in Kansas City.

<P>One "X Factor" contestant learned what happens when you attempt to pull a fast one on the judges. Over the weekend, while <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lovato__demi/artist.jhtml">Demi Lovato</a>, L.A. Reid and seat-filling judge Louis Walsh (who was assisting an ill Simon Cowell) were in Kansas City, Missouri they walked out on one contestant who attempted to audition with his back to the judges.</P><P>According to <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20602844,00.html" target="_blank">People.com</a> sources, not only did the contestant audition with his back to the panel, but he also wasn't all that talented of a singer, adding insult to injury. "It was really awkward," an eyewitness told the site of the kooky audition. "You could tell the judges were done. I don't think they had a choice. They didn't want to waste their time."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Britney Spears Explains Why She Wanted To Be A Part Of 'X Factor'" id="vid:769620" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Another onlooker added that the male contestant didn't leave the judges much of an option given his lack of talent. "He was one of the worst singers and had a bad attitude ... [The judges] all hated it and walked off," the source said. Additionally, he had no idea they had walked out since his back was to them for his entire performance.</P><P>Everyone except Britney eventually made their way back to the judges' table to hear the last contestant. Spears' absence was met with the audience chanting, "Where's Britney?" However, she was only gone for a short time, as she returned later on for another batch of contestants.</P><P>Spears and Lovato made their debut as <a href="/news/articles/1685844/britney-spears-x-factor-judging.jhtml">"X Factor" judges in late May</a>, weeks after Cowell and Reid appeared at the <a href="/news/articles/1685206/britney-spears-x-factor-concept.jhtml">Fox upfront</a> alongside the singers to announce them as additions to the show. "Just really being able to be there and inspire the other contestants ... they're so young and they're trying to fulfill their dreams," Spears said at the event. "It's just a whole beautiful concept. The IRS hosted an auction of Young Buck's possessions recently where $53K was raised to pay off his debts. Get the deets inside on the auction and his upcoming prison stint....
We told you earlier about rapper Young Buck owing over $300K to the IRS for unpaid taxes, and an auction of his things was recently held to clear it up. At the auction in Nashville, which was on of the IRS's largest in the area, $53K was collected towards the debt.
Items for sale included televisions, fur coats, recording equipment and jewelry. The highest selling item was a diamond and ruby-encrusted gold chain going for $12K. Also, one gentleman bought a $3K hard drive (hoping it contained unreleased music from the rapper). Sadly, he later found out the IRS had already wiped it clean. Womp!
And if you think watching your prized possessions sold off is embarassing...Young Buck took it in stride tweeting,
So....apparently he bought the gold chain back, but he added, I never knew #Material shit was so important to y'all. Smh!!
And next month, the rapper is set to begin an 18-month prision stint for having weapons in his home. I hope he knows he's not taking that chain with him.

Them Crooked Vultures make their debut with a post-Lollapalooza set.

<P>Officially, <a href="/news/articles/1617945/janes-addiction-killers-turn-up-heat-on-lollapaloozas-last-day.jhtml">Lollapalooza ended Sunday night</a> in Chicago's Grant Park, with dueling sets from <a href="/music/artist/killers_the/artist.jhtml">the Killers</a> and <a href="/music/artist/janes_addiction/artist.jhtml">Jane's Addiction</a>. Unofficially, it ended <i>very</i> early Monday morning, across town at venerable rock club the Metro, with a surprise show by Them Crooked Vultures.</P><P>To the unfamiliar, the Vultures might seem like an odd choice to close out Lolla weekend ... until you realize that they're made up of <a href="/music/artist/foo_fighters/artist.jhtml">Foo Fighters</a> frontman/ former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, <a href="/music/artist/queens_stone_age/artist.jhtml">Queens of the Stone Age</a> mastermind Josh Homme and <a href="/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</a> legend John Paul Jones. And their gig at the Metro was their world premiere.</P><P>According to <a href="http://blogs.suntimes.com/derogatis/2009/08/them_crooked_vultures_at_metro.html" target="_blank">some reports</a>, the Vultures actually turned <i>down</i> Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell's request to replace the Beastie Boys as headliners at the festival, opting to debut in front of some 1,100 super-psyched fans at the Metro, rather than 75,000 in Grant Park (tickets for the gig were announced via Foo Fighter/ QOTSA fan clubs). Meaning that, in a lot of ways, this was the most sought-after ticket in town.</P><P>Taking the stage just after midnight, the Vultures — Grohl on drums (of course), Homme on guitar and vocals, Jones on bass and keys and frequent QOTSA contributor Alain Johannes on guitar — ripped through 12 songs in 80 minutes, all taken from their upcoming debut, which may or may not be called <i>Never Deserved the Future,</i> and may or may not be hitting stores on October 23 (early "promo" videos touting both those facts were revealed over the weekend to be hoaxes perpetrated by QOTSA fans).</P><P>The songs, with appropriately Homme-ian titles like "Scumbag Blues," "Mind Eraser (No Chaser)," "Caligulove" and "Interlude w/Ludes," sounded pretty much how you'd expect, given the band's pedigree. They rocked, hard — <a href="http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/turn_it_up/2009/08/concert-review-them-crooked-vultures-at-metro.html" target="_blank"><i>Chicago Tribune</i></a> critic Greg Kot described them as "fresh, invigorating and just plain nasty" — delving off into psychedelic, reverb-filled excursions and exploring proggy territory, "both of the old-school Yes variety, and the more modern Tool flavor," according to the <i>Chicago Sun-Times'</i> Jim DeRogatis.</P><P>It's not known if Monday's Metro performance was a one-off event for the Vultures — there have been whispers of a full-blown tour, but a spokesperson for Homme had not responded to MTV News' request for comment at press time. Nor was it clear whether or not they'll have an album out in October.</P><P>Early Monday, a <a href="http://twitter.com/crookedvultures" target="_blank">Crooked Vultures Twitter account</a>, which had previously posted links to the band's <a href="http://www.themcrookedvultures.com/" target="_blank">official-looking Web site</a> and the Metro's online ticketing site — posted a link to what appears to be the group's first bit of official merchandise: a <i>Deserve the Future</i> T-shirt. Cost: $30.</p>

Actress Cybill Shepherd plans to marry for the third time, announcing her engagement to boyfriend Andrei Nikolajevic. Veteran actress Cybill Shepherd is getting married. The 62-year old performer, who is best known for her work over the years in series like Moonlighting and The Client List, announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend Andrei Nikolajwvic. Shepherd’s fiancé is a psychologist, who was previously a jeweler she explained. “He was a jeweler. Now, he’s a psychologist. He’s Serbian.” Nikolajwvic popped the big question when the two were in New York together a couple weeks ago. “It was very romantic and on one knee. I never thought I’d get married again,” Shepherd shared after being presented with a sparkling diamond set upon a white gold band. Admitting that she was never planning to marry again after walking down the alter twice with ex-husband David Ford back in 1978 and Bruce Oppenheim in 1987, Shepherd’s feelings have changed and so hasn’t her outlook on life, she says, since entering into her 60’s. “I feel like I’m just peaking now. Cirque du Soleil show pays tribute to late icon with world tour.

<P><B>NEWARK, New Jersey</B> — Music, dance and acrobatics combine in celebration of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson</a>'s iconic life in the "Immortal" World Tour. From trapeze artists to acrobats and even a world-champion pole dancer, guests at the Cirque du Soleil show can expect a high-energy tribute to the legend.</P><P>The tour stopped for two nights in Newark, New Jersey, this past weekend (its 40th stop) and will open Tuesday night (April 3) at New York's Madison Square Garden, where it will remain through Thursday. From there, it will continue across North America through the summer before heading to Europe in the fall.</P><P><center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:755805/cp~vid%3D755805%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A755805" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></center></P><P>Having already produced the <a href="http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/love/default.aspx" target="_blank">Beatles "Love" show</a> in Las Vegas, Cirque is no stranger to musical tributes.</P><P>"Immortal" serves as a sensory explosion that starts on the subdued side and progresses in both spectacle and energy. More than 60 artists perform to 32 songs in a presentation that feels much like a concert with an ensemble of circus-inspired acts elegantly melding together. The stage is two levels with a long peninsula extending into the audience, where the majority of the acrobatics takes place. MJ's famed choreographic style was present in nearly all the numbers, and the audacious task of the performers was well-received by the audience.</P><P>The progression of the musical numbers moved seamlessly. The energy kicked into high gear with Jackson-like characters performing "Fanatics Medley" as Jackson 5 — one of them in MJ's signature fedora and another as a gold-suited mime. Jackson's youth was remembered in "Childhood" during which a recording of Jackson's voice referred to his early stardom as he sang, "Have you seen my childhood?/ It's been my fate to compensate/ For the childhood I've never known."</P><P>While the moving screens, elaborate stage designs and detailed costumes were impressive, one of the most awe-inspiring moments was witnessing what the human body is capable of during the pole-dancing number. Felix Cane, a two-time world pole-dancing champion, maneuvered in the sky dancing on a pole — with no harness — appropriately performing to "Dangerous," as the audience was captivated by her every move.</P><P>Another highlight was "Human Nature," during which the back screens were dominated by Neverland graphics and an image of a young Michael sitting on the moon. In front of the backdrop, a half-dozen artists wrapped in multicolored LED costumes soared through the air in sync, representing the constellations.</P><P>"Beat It" got the crowd moving while they watched performers in MJ's signature accessories, including his famous glove and penny loafers, dance in dynamic movement. A rock-infused duel between an electric guitar and electric cello capped the song.</P><P>After an elaborate performance to "Black or White," as the night seemed to be over and the audience slowly started spilling into the aisles, the lights illuminated one last time for an encore to "Man in the Mirror."
