Gym Class Heroes' Travie McCoy will hit the road with pop princesses Rihanna and Ke$ha on this summer's Last Girl on Earth Tour, which kicks off on July 2 in Auburn, Washington. The tour will crisscross the U.S. and Canada and wrap up on August 28 in Syracuse, New York.

McCoy's addition to the lineup comes after the tour was originally announced in April as a girl-power outing, with Young Money's Nicki Minaj as one of the openers. Minaj later dropped out of the tour, saying she was going to focus on wrapping up her debut instead.

"Barbz I'm sorry 2 say I will not be going out on RiRi's tour. I've decided 2 use that time 4 the completion of my album. Hope u understand," the star tweeted just days after the tour was announced.

McCoy will rock stages this summer in support of his solo debut, Lazarus, which features the single "Billionaire" with Bruno Mars. The hip-rock star — who goes by Travie instead of Travis for his solo work — premiered the video for his new single "The Manual" featuring T-Pain and Young Cash online on Friday.

Travie recently told MTV's Buzzworthy that the solo effort is just one of the many side projects he tinkers with while still being a part of the Gym Class Heroes.

"Since the beginning of Gym Class Heroes, we've all kind of had side projects," he said. "This is just an extension of that."

'Breaking Dawn, Part 2' To Be Released November 2012

'Twilight Saga' finale avoids glut of summer blockbusters with fall release.

For better or worse, the end is in sight, Twilighters. Summit Entertainment has announced the official release date for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2." The final film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series is scheduled to open in theaters on November 16, 2012.

When Summit revealed that "Breaking Dawn" would be split into two films — with the first film's release date set for November 18, 2011 #&8212; there was much speculation that the final chapter would drop the following summer. This news puts the second film out almost a full year after Part 1, no doubt creating an excruciating waiting period for the film franchise's extremely dedicated fans.

With no official statement accompanying the news of Part 2's release date, we, too, can only speculate as to why Summit has chosen to wait a full year between releasing the two films. One likely reason is the already-crowded summer 2012 movie calendar, which has been padded with several other highly anticipated and established franchise films. "The Avengers," "Madagascar 3" and "Men in Black 3" all open in May; June will deliver a "Star Trek" sequel; the re-booted "Spider-Man" is nestled in the July 4 slot (occupied this year by "Eclipse"), followed closely by another "Ice Age" and a third "Batman."

Now that both films' release dates are set, there are a few other unresolved "Dawn" issues, namely the MPAA rating and whether director Bill Condon will choose to film the two parts in 3-D.

"That decision has yet to be made," Summit distribution chief Richie Fay told MTV of the rating question last month. "It's still the source of a discussion."

The 3-D conversation, on the other hand, involves both financial and creative decisions. "There's certainly a financial part of the discussion," Ray said. "And yes, there's a certain amount of technology that has to be considered and accounted for. But it really comes down to the creative folks.

"In any of these roundtable conversations, [Summit CEO] Rob Friedman has always been concerned about the 'Twilight' patron," Fay added. "His concern is always the people that come in to see this movie. He doesn't want to turn them off or offend. That's why it's a creative decision. A big factor is the perception of our audience. What are their feelings going to be? If it lends itself to being a better movie because of 3-D, then that's the technology we'll use."

Justin Bieber Kicks Off Tour With High-Flying Stunts

HARTFORD, Connecticut — Lights went down, glow sticks went up and lots and lots of screaming commenced as a clip of Justin Bieber playing video games plays flashed above the stage, before the teen dream finally appeared in person. Dressed in all-white, the teen idol showed off some karate moves, whipping the crowds at the XL Center into a frenzy as he opened with "Love Me." Little did they know that a few high kicks would be the least of his stunts on Wednesday, the opening night of his My World 2.0 summer tour.

Bieber made his way to center stage to sing "Bigger." He demonstrated his pop-and-lock skills before asking the crowd, "What's up? We do it all for you guys!"

He then slowed it down a bit, using his sugary-sweet R&B-tinged voice for "U Smile." For "Runaway Love" he did some chair choreography reminiscent of the Backstreet Boys' "As Long as You Love Me" video.

"I'm feeling real good, how about you all?" he asked. "I see a lot of beautiful girls out there." In order to see those ladies better, Bieber broke out his acoustic guitar as he sat in a heart-shaped cage that was lifted above the crowd. He played "Never Let You Go" while suspended in the air, followed by "Favorite Girl."

He then got to what has become a favorite (if envy-producing) moment in his shows. "The one thing I do when I get to every city is find one less lonely girl," he told the room before bringing a lucky fan onto the stage, giving her roses and singing "One Less Lonely Girl."

For his next stunt, during "Somebody to Love," Bieber and his dancers took to the air and Bieber pretended to climb the side of a building and spray-paint it.

He slowed down the pace a bit for "Overboard," which features opening act Jessica Jarrell. The girls went crazy when they held hands for part of it. He asked the ladies, "Isn't she amazing? You guys are amazing."

Part of the night belonged to Legacy, Bieber's YouTube-discovered backup singers, who performed an a cappella version of radio hits including Usher's "OMG" and Train's "Hey Soul Sister."

After leaving the stage, Bieber came out again and treated the crowd to "Up" as he descended from the ceiling in a cage. Following a break, he performed "One Time" and "That Should Be Me." He even sat down at the drums for "Walk This Way."

Then Sean Kingston joined Bieber onstage for their party-ready collabo, "Eenie Meenie." "Down to Earth" was the last song of the set. But to no one's surprise, Bieber returned for an encore.

"I couldn't just leave you guys," he said, before singing "With You" a cappella. Then he gave the girls what they wanted: "Baby."

At the very end, mentor Usher showed up, said a quick "hi" to the fans and retreated backstage. Bieber soon followed and the night came to a close.

Lady Gaga has won a lot of accolades during the past year and met some pretty impressive dignitaries, but crashing the Forbes magazine annual World's Most Powerful Celebrities list puts her in some truly rarified company.

The singer, who launched her latest iteration of her never-ending Monster Ball Tour in Montreal on Monday night, debuts on the list this year at #4. She landed there thanks to high marks for her Web visibility (#1 on the list) and a $62 million haul between June 2009 and June 2010, $31 million of which came from touring (after a gross of $95 million), with much of the rest courtesy of deals with Virgin Mobile, Polaroid, Monster Cable and MAC.

Gaga joins a top 10 that is dominated by women, including the once-again #1, Oprah Winfrey, who retook her top rank thanks to $315 million in earnings after ceding it last year to Angelina Jolie (now #18). The list ranks celebs based on earnings over the previous 12 months, as well as visibility in print, TV, radio, online and social media.

Beyonc� slipped up two spots to #4 this year, with $86 million in grosses thanks to a 93-date world tour, deals with Nintendo and L'Oreal and her House of Dereon fashion line. The still resurgent Britney Spears leaped from #13 to #6 this year, banking $64 million, most of it thanks to a world tour that grossed $130 million and deals with Elizabeth Arden and Candie's.

Madonna slipped seven spots down from last year's #3 ranking to #10, but at 52, she still had the fourth-highest-grossing tour of the year, which rolled up more than $138 million in gross receipts, as well as significant publishing royalties, including cash from an all-Madge episode of "Glee."

More than 30 years into their career, U2 went from zero to #7 on the list, mostly courtesy of a massive — currently mothballed — world tour that raked in more than $311 million in gross box office, as well as lucrative merchandise sales, copious radio play and a steady-selling back catalog that earned them more than $130 million.

With a $210 million payday from his #1 smash "Avatar," director James Cameron (#3) had a very good year, unlike disgraced golfer Tiger Woods, who hits #5 with $105 million in earnings amid high press rankings, mostly for his infidelity scandal. The top 10 is rounded out by Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock (#8, $56 million), who made headlines for having two hit movies, "The Proposal" and "The Blind Side," as well a divorce from ex-Jesse James. And at #9 is Johnny Depp, who banked $75 million, mostly due to his work in "Alice in Wonderland," which grossed $1 billion worldwide, making Depp the only actor to headline two billion-dollar films.

Taylor Swift made it onto the list for the first time, at #12, thanks to her status as the most-played artist on radio in 2009, multi-platinum album sales, and big endorsement deals with Sony and CoverGirl that netted her $45 million. She's just ahead of Miley Cyrus (#13), who took in a not-too-shabby $48 million. Beyonc�'s other half, Jay-Z, also made a giant leap this year, jumping from #32 to #15 with a hit album, his investment in the 40/40 club chain and the Broadway show "Fela!," the New Jersey Nets, and the Blueprint 3 tour, which grossed more than $1 million per show.

Also new on the list this year are the Black Eyed Peas, who debuted at #16 thanks to a $48 million year pumped up by sponsorship deals with Target, Honda, Bacardi and Apple. Singer Pink crashed the party at #27 in her debut year, with $44 million, much of it courtesy of her smash international tour.

Other musicians on the list include: Bruce Springsteen (#17), Coldplay (#35), the Jonas Brothers (#40), Diddy (#68), Lil Wayne (#74) and Akon (#80).

"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson also makes his first appearance on the list, coming in at #50 with $17 million in earnings, followed by co-star Kristen Stewart at #66 with $12 million in earnings. The woman who started it all, "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer, hits the #59 spot with $40 million in pay thanks to the $1 billion in box office the movies have earned so far and continued strong sales of the books from the series.

Former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell earned a spot behind Madonna at #11 with a hefty $80 million payday, while fellow "Idol" cohort Ellen DeGeneres (#23) earned $55 million from her stint on the reality show and her syndicated daily talker. "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest weighs in at #44 with $51 million from his variety of TV hosting gigs, radio show and producer credits on reality shows.

A Visit from the Goon Squad

I just finished this book and loved it. A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan.

It's a collection of related short stories (so it's perfect for someone like me with a short attention span) about people who work in the record industry. Like, in the first story you meet A and it mentions her boss, B. Then the second story goes on to tell you a little more about B and mentions someone named C. The third story is about C and how he knows B. Eventually one of the stories mention A again. It's amazing, amazing, amazing and Jennifer Egan is an awesome writer. All of the stories are told in different ways, in different voices. Some are third-person all knowing, some are first-person... one is told through a power-point presentation. This isn't done to be gimmicky; it just happens to be the best way to tell each story.

Read it! I was hooked by the third story.

Empower, which stands for “Education Means Protection of Women Engaged in Recreation”, is a non-profit organization with centers in Bangkok’s Patpong red light district, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Sai and Patong Beach in Phuket. It provides women involved in Thailand’s illegal sex trade with free English classes and advice on health, law, education and counseling. Justin Bieber 3-D Movie In The Works For 2011

Bieber Fever is now widespread enough to officially be labeled as a pandemic. On the heels of the news that Justin Bieber will be releasing his official illustrated memoir, "Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story," comes word that Paramount is prepping a movie featuring the young pop star.

Deadline New York reports that the yet-untitled film will be released in 3-D under the direction of the Oscar-winning "An Inconvenient Truth" director Davis Guggenheim. Bieber will play himself in what is described as a "feature biopic," with performances from his current tour popping in throughout. Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, and Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid will produce, and a release date is currently set for February 11, 2011 — Valentine's Day weekend.

Right around the time Deadline broke the news on Monday night, Bieber wrote an excited confirmation from his personal Twitter account. He wrote in one, "Next Valentine's we r coming with a major 3D movie telling the story with an Oscar winning director and also filming the tour at MSG in NYC!!" Then he followed it up with, "This is so sick!! Gonna come out in theaters worldwide Valentine's 2011!!! I'm taking this thing worldwide thanks to u all!! Hyped!!"

The 16-year-old Canadian pop sensation made his debut last year with the single "One Time" and he's been a rising star ever since. My World, his debut EP, was released last November and quickly achieved platinum status. My World 2.0 was released a few months later, in March 2010, riding on the wave of success created by the debut single, "Baby." Bieber will appear on CBS' CSI season-premiere this fall.

Former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has spoken out for the first time about rumors that he's been asked to fill in for Robert Plant on a proposed Led Zeppelin reunion tour. The trek would feature original guitarist Jimmy Page, original bassist John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham taking over on drums for his late father, John Bonham.

Cornell has been mentioned — along with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, White Stripes mastermind Jack White and Alter Bridge's Myles Kennedy — as a potential Plant fill-in. Plant has already said that he wouldn't take part in the tour.

"I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be," Cornell told MTV News. "I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss tour."

Cornell's denial comes just a day after Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford confirmed reports that frontman Steven Tyler recently met with Zeppelin for an impromptu jam session. "They did it for fun," Whitford said during an appearance on the syndicated show "Todd N Tyler Radio Empire." "I actually think Jimmy wanted Steven to come over and play a little bit because I think he was trying to light a fire under Robert."

Rumors of a Zeppelin reunion tour have abounded since the iconic band played a single reunion set last year at London's O2 Arena. Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider added fuel to the fire last month when he revealed that the group was thinking of touring, with or without Plant.

According to Snider, the rest of the band told Plant, " 'We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go. Here's a gazillion dollars on the table. If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid [Myles Kennedy].' "

"And he can sing the sh-- out of Zeppelin," Snider added. "They're going to hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, 'OK,' and step in."

In a recent interview, Jones told BBC Radio Devon that a new singer was being sought to take over for Plant. "We are trying out a couple of singers," he said. "We want to do it. It's sounding great, and we want to get on and get out there."

But Jones insists that he, Page and Bonham aren't interested in finding a Plant clone. "It's got to be right," he said. "There's no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be onboard."

Of course, even if Zeppelin were to approach him, Cornell might be too busy to take over vocals for the band. His upcoming Timbaland-produced solo LP, Scream, will be released within the next few months. Cornell told MTV News last month that some of his fans might consider Scream something of a departure, but he doesn't see it that way.

"It makes me happy that there's this perception that I have a group of fans that I'm now sort of throwing a curve at and what their reaction will be," he said. "But I've been in this situation so many times already. When I put out [1999's] Euphoria Morning, my main goal was to create an album that sounded like nothing I'd done in Soundgarden, and I did that. I also had that with Temple of the Dog, where I showed up with songs that weren't necessarily riff-based. And then, of course, the pairing of me and members of Rage Against the Machine had everyone sort of speculating about what that would sound like.

"It feels like I've done this so many times that when it's presented to me as being a departure, I feel that's a misconception," he added. "I feel like that's my theme at this point."

Cali Swag District Break Down Origin Of 'Teach Me How To Dougie'

The West Coast crew tells MTV News they recorded the dance anthem after seeing the moves a friend picked up down South.

Cali Swag District have made their mark on the hip-hop scene with their catchy single "Teach Me How to Dougie." And although the members of CSD — DJ C-Smoove, dancer M-Bone and rappers Yung and JayAre — rep the West Coast, their breakout hit was inspired by moves a pal picked up down South.

"A friend of ours went to Texas Southern [University]. He picked up on the [Dougie] dance [and] he learned how to do it [the way] they do it in Texas," C-Smoove recently told MTV News. "He came back like, 'Y'all should make a song about this dance.' So we made it happen. We went in the booth and we tore it down."

Following their homie's advice, C-Smoove says they hopped in the studio and were quickly inspired by the instrumental.

"Our verses were done before the beat was even finished because once we started to hear the beat we were like, 'This song is [going to] go,' " C-Smoove recalled. "We watched it grow and it became huge."

Once the crew put their Cali spin on the dance, the song took off. Los Angeles radio station Power 106 put it in rotation and the high-energy collective performed with legendary beatbox king Doug E. Fresh at the 2010 BET Awards Pre-Show. The group even scored a slew of stars for the remix, with Jermaine Dupri, B.o.B, Red Caf� and Bow Wow jumping on the track.

Cali Swag broke down their approach to live shows and explained that they keep the audience in mind when performing.

"We put on a crazy show," C-Smoove said. "The crowd goes crazy. Before we go onstage we think, 'What would we want to see if we were sitting in the audience?' So [when] we go onstage, we're full of energy."

CSD added that they feed off the energy the crowd throws back at them: "When they know your words or something like that, it all just fuels this fire to make us just go out and tear the stage down," Smoove said.

You might remember Kristy Lee Cook as the red-blooded country gal who went for broke with Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" during the seventh season of "American Idol." So it's not exactly surprising that she's just returned with an equally red-blooded new hunting show called "Goin' Country."

The show — which premiered this weekend on the Versus network — follows Cook as she travels across the country blowing away animals, including deer, pheasant and turkey. Along the way, she also works toward landing a record contract (though not while hunting).

"I'm hoping that people will see the hunts as a chance to hang with family and friends and share an experience. It's so much fun in the outdoors, and when you harvest something for the meat, it really means much more than just going out to the grocery store and buying it," Cook told Fox News' Fox411 blog. "I never used to like killing animals until I got out and experienced it. It's the food chain. Animals are here for us to eat. In my family, we grew up without a lot of money, so I take all this meat home and anything that's left we give to homeless shelters or orphanages so all the meat is going somewhere and I get to feed all these people."

According to Versus' website, the next episode of "Goin' Country" airs Sunday at 9 a.m. ET. And, as the show's official site promises, you can "Expect to be mesmerized. Laugh. Awed. Amazed! Watch and see what this young lady representing female Americana in a most favorable, professional, and possible lifestyle is capable of accomplishing."

So long as you're not a white-tailed deer or something.

Sources say that Kim has called up her bestie Lindsay Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, to look into the tweets being a violation of her restraining order. Now that Miz Holley doesn't have to spend her days washing Lynwood prison stank out of her power suits, she has plenty of time to take the case. She told sources:

"I will be speaking with law enforcement detectives … to determine whether or not Mr. Bowman's actions are a violation of the order in place restricting Mr. Bowman's conduct toward Ms. Kardashian."

Crystal Bowersox Reacts to Ellen DeGeneres' 'American Idol' Exit

Ellen DeGeneres judged "American Idol" runner-up Crystal Bowersox last season on the hit show -- and now the tables are turned.

"Ellen is an amazing and kind human being, and I respect her and her decision to leave 'American Idol,'" Bowersox tells MTV News. "She brought a smile to the show and so much more, and I am very happy to have been a part of her time there. I wish nothing but the best for her, and also to 'American Idol.'"

Lindsay Lohan’s begrudged lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley paid a visit today to see her client — Inmate #2409752 — who is currently being housed at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA … and despite her cheery disposition, Holley revealed to the assembled media that she is hoping that today will be the day that Lindsay gets sprung from jail … mainly because she is tired of having to make the trek to Lynwood every other day:

There is a “possibility” Lindsay Lohan will be getting out of jail today, this according to her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley. Holley says she has her fingers crossed that today’s the day, joking, “No offense to the city of Lynwood … but I am really tired of coming here.”

Yeah, poor Holley … I bet it does suck having to visit Lindsay in jail all the time. I can only imagine what kind of mood L. Lo must be in when she receives visitors. It has been widely reported that Lindsay may get sprung from jail sometime in the middle of the night tonight … it will very likely happen before her 14th day in jail this coming Tuesday. We already know that Lindsay is headed for Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach to do her 90 day stint in rehab but today we learn what she will be treated for once she gets to rehab. TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan will be treated for addiction to methamphethamine and bipolar disorder during her court ordered 90 days in rehab. According to a source familiar with Lindsay’s case, methamphetamine and opiates are her “drugs of choice”. Methamphetamine — also known as crystal meth or simply meth — is a highly addictive stimulant and opiates, generally, have more of a downer effect. Morningside Recovery — the Orange County, CA rehab Lilo is scheduled to enter — lists opiate and methamphetamine detoxification among its specialties. As TMZ first reported, sources say Morningside was not on the list of facilities recommended by court appointed psychiatrists.

Dang … well, it sounds like Morningside Recovery has got a big job on its hands. Once Lindsay gets sprung (tonight, tomorrow night?) she will be handed over to them to deal with for 90 days. Phase one of Lindsay‘s punishment is about to be completed, next up … phase two … by the beach. HMMM.
