Shakira will be bringing her hip shaking to South Africa to sing farewell to the 2010 World Cup, according to the Associated Press.
Her song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" served as the theme of the tournament. She performed the catchy tune and dance at a June 10 concert in Soweto in conjunction with the soccer championship.
Jermaine Craig, organizing committee spokesman, told the AP that the closing ceremony promises to be "more youthful and a bit more technologically advanced" than the more culturally focused opening ceremony that kicked off the month-long tournament. The festivities will feature "nice lighting effects and special effects," he revealed.
