After going through a divorce in 2006, Gabrielle Union has learned some life lessons about love and is prepared to take her time before possibly marrying her new man.
The "Think Like A Man" actress opened up to Access Hollywood Live about the lessons learned from divorce with ex-husband Chris Howard and how it's made her current relationship with Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade stronger.
"What you learn from divorce is you have to be incredibly honest, about what you want, what you need, and what your expectations are," Union revealed. "As women, we're sort of taught to go along, to get along, not cause any ruffles…but yeah, that got me divorced."
The 39-year-old actress has been dating Wade for three years now, but when host Billy Bush asked Gabrielle if their relationship is "serious," she jokingly replied, "It's seriously…awesome. We're taking our time!"
On the career front, Miss Union's new film, "Think Like A Man," has just made its way into theaters today (April 20).
With the trailer found in the player above, the movie follows four friends who conspire to turn the tables on their women when they discover the ladies have been using Steve Harvey's relationship advice against them.
