Miley Cyrus was on Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning and talked about Bret Michaels inspiring her to stay away from drugs. The two met while collaborating on a song recently.
"Having him in my life and him telling me some of stories and some of the dumb crap that happens...he just makes me never want to do that stuff," Cyrus said.
I'm sure her parents had a little something to do with her feelings on drugs and drinking, as well. Both abstain from alcohol.
If she's seen in a club, she doesn't want people to assume she's doing drugs or drinking:
If I'm ever seen out dancing at a club having fun, I don’t want people to immediately go, 'Oh, she's on drugs, she's drunk," "I'm never going to be that person. As long as I steer clear of that and keep that mind frame, I think I'll be cool."
Miley is honest about the possibility of her having a drink when she turns the legal age:
"I'm not gonna be like, 'I'll never have a drink in my entire life,' because that’s probably going to be a lie," she admitted. "There's a right way to do so -- everything is good in small portions."
You have to give her credit for being honest - and also adding that she'll wait til she's legal. That's alot more than many, many young celebrities can say.
